When finding out I was pregnant, one of the things I couldn’t wait to do was plan and decorate our baby’s nursery!
At the time, we were still living in an apartment with intentions of buying a new house. My husband had gotten a new job in a different area, so we began our search to move closer. Apparently God had other plans because just 3 months into this new job, the day before my birthday, he was laid off. We had already decided before this happened not to extend the lease on our apartment. We had already put in our notice and our apartment was going to another family. Well thanks to my lovely in laws we moved in with them while my husband searched for a new job. Even though things seemed terrible at the time, I kept reminding my husband that everything happens for a reason, and the reason is always a better situation than the last… Well it’s true. My husband is now working for a company that he LOVES. He comes home from work happy… something I never in a million years thought I’d ever see happen. I think it helps that this company really cares about their employees. Anyway getting to my point… I didn’t get to start decorating a nursery for my baby for a long time.. infact, he was almost 2 months old before I even started on it. We had already bought his nursery furniture before he was born and just kept it in storage. Once we found our house and got the keys, it took my husband FOREVER to paint the nursery for me… but I guess it didn’t help that I took forever finding the right shade of gray. Funny fact, I was reading 50 Shades of Grey during this time frame… haha. We finally settled on “Porpoise”- Behr. I really love how it turned out!
Anyway, Here is our son’s nursery!
There are still a few details that I need to get together before I can say I’m done, but it’s all coming together very nicely!
